Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
Each year on Holy Saturday during the Easter Vigil, thousands are baptized into the Catholic Church in the United States. Parishes welcome these new Catholics through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
RCIA is an opportunity for any adult (and their family members) who wish(es) to receive the Sacraments and become Catholic to learn about the Catholic faith and grow in community with us.
This process is done in three parts:
1. Inquiry

3. Receiving the Sacraments
Typically done at the Mass called the Easter Vigil, Catecheumens receive the sacraments and become Catholic. This is a huge celebration that the whole community shares in with you. It's a beautiful Mass to welcome you home to the Church and celebrate this new life.
